Melbourne 27 V Matlock 33

Matlock arrived to take on in-form Melbourne for a pre-season Friendly which turned out to be a close clash with the game being dominated by each team in each half. Matlock started with and early Try from Sam Page after he joined the line from his full back position to go over in the corner.

Melbourne hit back with some sloppy defence from Matlock to score and convert. From then on it was all Matlock as a further four tries where scored, three from Andrew Eastwood and another form Harry Boyd with Sam Page converting all.

The second half started with Eastwood going over again and you thought it was all over for Melbourne but fair play to Melbourne they came back with four unanswered tries if they could have only kicked their conversions it may have been a different outcome.
