History

In the Beginning ..

Methley Warriors ARLFC was formed in 2000 by Andy Ward and Phil Hodgson (Andy is still coaching) after identifying the need for a community club in Methley. They started with just 1 under 7’s team.

After moving venues several times Methley Warriors settled into its current home on Church Lane around 10 years ago (2010). We have also formed a close link with Methley Working Mens Club and consider it to be our home away from the pitches, where we host club events and after match presentations.

Since 2010 the club has grown year on year and now has over a dozen teams from tots to masters and lots in between. But even with the injection of growth our priorities are our players welfare and our presence as a club within the community.
