The month’s games begin on Saturday 2 December as Grant Black takes his side to Trafford and will be hoping to return with three points as happened at Shawe View last season.
Black will also be hoping for a points return equal to last season from December where The Reds won each of the four league games in the calendar month.
Back to back home games follow the visit to Trafford with first Ramsbottom United visiting Ingfield (09/12) and then three days later Glossop North End (12/12). Town took four point from these two games last season, Steve Ridley with the only goal against GNE while Alex Peterson hit the net as Town and The Rams shared two goals.
The last away game before Christmas is a trip to the seaside to face a number of familiar faces at Scarborough Athletic (16/12) before Town host Prescot Cable, third in the league going into December, looking for a league double having started the season with a 2-1 victory at Volair Park.
The Backslappers, no doubt well fed on December 25, will only have to make a short journey on Boxing Day to Brighouse Town which will see Town coach Lee Ashforth return to St. Giles Road for the first time since leaving the club in the summer.
The year ends with a trip to Droylsden (30/12) one side that has proven to be a constant thorn in the side of Grant Black during his fledgling years as a manager, and something he will be looking to put right as one of the most exciting calendar years in the clubs recent history comes to a close.
