Pakenham United FC

Formed in October 2014 as a result of a merger between Cardinia United Junior Soccer Club
(established in 2007) and the Pakenham Soccer Club (established in 2013), the new
Pakenham United FC has taken up the challenge to further promote the ‘Round ball game’
for male and female players, both young and old, who reside in and around the Pakenham
community.

A willing, experienced and highly motivated volunteer committee is setting about the task of
organising the affairs of the new club in a climate that can only be described as unique in
the sport.

With interest in Soccer at an all-time high, the coverage of both the Asian Cup and the ‘A’
League in the media is unprecedented and will continue to grow long after the tournament
itself is over. Success at professional club and national levels for our Aussie players has
opened up a new, exciting and giant pathway of opportunities for younger players who are
taking up the game in droves at both schools and clubs throughout the country.

Soccer (or Football as it is known on the global scene) is indeed a “different ball game” when
it comes to opportunities for those who choose to support its growth and development.
