Safeguarding and Welfare Officer

Create a supportive and positive environment in which children can enjoy playing football safely is vital.

PVFC safeguarding officer will provide leadership in the safeguarding of children within the club,
Maintaining relationships with the Club Management (CM) and local
safeguarding partners, and report to the Academy Manager and represent the Academy management team as Head of Education incorporating this role.

He has undertaken appropriate FA safeguarding courses.

– To be dedicated to the cause of safeguarding young people under 18yrs

What will he do:
In conjunction :
– Develop the Club ‘Safeguarding Policy’ and procedures in conjunction with the FA policy

– Make sure everyone understands the FA Codes of Conduct and values of the Game: Teamwork, Sportsmanship, Enjoyment, Discipline, Respect

– Be visible and approachable to all club members whose contact details are on club notice boards, the club website.

– Ensure that all safeguarding issues and incidents are reported promptly

– Keep up-to-date contact details for the local statutory agencies (police / social Services etc.) and liaise with them when necessary
