2014 Season

Hi all,
We start our new season on 30th August at 12.30.... I would like to say thanks to all for the support that we've had through the last years.
We constantly need more support from the parents - help with coaching, scheduling, refereeing, linesman / woman, match fixing etc--well maybe not the last one..... but if you can help out at all please let us know and we'll find you a niche! All training is provided by the club and we're more than willing to guide you, so don't be shy!
This year we hope to run evening sessions (provisionally Wed evenings at 7.30) so extra bodies would make a great difference.

We will also try to focus on further techniques for the players as they progress to the full 15 man team so as to better prepare them for the U13's level where they will have to operate on a full pitch with less input from coaches at game time. With this in mind it is important that players try to attend the maximum amount of training sessions as there won't be enough time to repeat some sessions. Could we ask that all players please turn up on time for training sessions whenever possible. This means being on the pitch at start of training not arriving in the carpark! :-)

There is the possibility that this year we may be invited to play during the half-time period when Leinster play in the RDS. We would like to think that we had put in the best possible effort in preparing ourselves to play in front of an audience of 18,000 people (no pressure guys!)

This season we will be located at the end of the grounds (behind the main pitch) which will give us a larger training area - much needed to prepare for the full pitch.

Once again out thanks for the support and assistance, not least the plates of biscuits and sandwiches which makes everything that bit more enjoyable and raises our stature with visiting clubs.

kind regards........
..........The u12's coaching team
