I’ve been involved for around 6 years - found out through the graduate inunction event and then joined after moving back from Singapore after my first year at Rolls-Royce. I’ve always been in and around rugby, and RR RFC had a great setup.
I’ve now been playing for 25 years, since the age of 7. I started back home in Swansea, and also had a break during university whilst still playing some social rugby.
Favourite playing moment - getting one over on our local rival’s opposite No.7, for him to give away a penalty which led to us winning the match.
Favourite coaching moment - my first season coaching and the team getting promoted.
Favourite spectating moment - watching England Vs Wales in the 2015 World Cup group stages...
Coaching qualifications: None but currently completing my Level 2.
For me coaching is the second best thing I can do. I’d love to still play for RR RFC but various injuries have stopped me.
We’ve got such a great and varied squad - so much commitment and a good mix of social rugby and competitiveness
We train and play hard, but we also party hard, including the most epic tours. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never played before or you’re a star player - you’ll be treated the same at the club and be able to make some amazing friends for life.
