Games
•See all of the above under "Practice"
•No alcohol the night before a game. If you think you can play hard for 80 minutes after a night of drinking, you don't know what playing hard means. Play video games, order a pizza, have a pasta dinner, watch a movie, go to bed at 11.
•If a fight breaks out, we grab our own and get them out of the scuffle. Joining in will only increase the odds of a trip to the sin bin, red card or suspension. It's better to walk away from a fight and keep your energy focused on rugby.
•Communicate, talk to each other, acknowledge good actions and encourage effort. On-field chatter is good, as long as it's focused on playing well.
•No walking! Run or jog everywhere on the pitch. Jog to the set pieces, get there first, and look pissed off at your opponents for making you wait. It will be apparent who's ready to play and who's looking for a rest.
This is all about making this team successful. Work hard at practice to have fun on Saturdays.
