Playing the majority of his career at Glossop North End (9 years), the long-serving centre-back first arrived at Surrey Street in 2007 and scored 15 goals in 420 outings for the Hillmen.Lugsden was voted both Players’ and Management Player of the Year in 2014-15, after helping Glossop secure a league and cup double as well as reach their second FA Vase Final at Wembley.
He joined Shaw Lane prior to the start of the 2016/17 season along with his twin brother, Kieran.
In February 2018 Kelvin became the first player to sign a contract for the 2018/19 season for Shaw Lane.
