Near the beginning of 2008, Shepshed Dynamo F.C. organised a fundraising charity match that collected a magnificent £2,750 for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance.

Former player Mark Kendrick was allowed the used of the Dovecote for a reunion match to celebrate his 50th Birthday, and together with the club raised over £400 for Shepshed charity STEPS.

In a Memorial Match following the passing of valued club member Steve Andrews, The Dovecote played host to a charity match between Andrews XI and Dynamo Legends XI which raised over £2500 for the British Heart Foundation.
