Butterfill began his career in the youth ranks at Leicester City before making a move to Barnsley. During his time there, he progressed into the first-team setup and marked his senior debut in memorable fashion, scoring in an EFL Trophy fixture against Newcastle United U21s.
Following his departure from Barnsley, Jack gained non-league experience with Stamford and Lincoln United, before spending a period playing in New Zealand.
Upon returning to England, Butterfill enjoyed an impressive goalscoring campaign last season. He netted 5 goals in 10 appearances for FCV Grace Dieu before moving to Melton Town, where he added a further 8 goals in 12 appearances.
Welcome to Shepshed, Jack!
