Sidlesham went into the bank holiday weekend with 2 tough home games, against Upper Beeding and Rustington both who have added to their squads in the pre season.

Upper Beeding visiting on the Saturday proved to be a very organised and well drilled side who exercised their managers desire not to be beaten. Sidlesham playing some good football and creating good changes left their shooting boots at home though as chances came and went in a frustrating afternoon of football. Even the chance of scoring from the penalty spot produced a good save from the goalkeeper in the visiting goal. A hard afternoons work in the baking sunshine was drawn to a close with more chances going begging but to their credit Sidlesham never gave up, but with the away side throwing bodies on the line at every Sidlesham attack Sidlesham couldnt break them down.
