Sidlesham entertained Worthing Town on Saturday and produced their best home display so far this season with a 9 goal distruction of Worthing in a game which in fact could of seen alot more goals if the away keeper didn't produce some decent saves and wayward finishes from the home side in the first half.
To their credit Worthing never gave up and kept going to the end but never had any answer to the home sides pace and power that created chance after chance from the first minute.
Dan Byles started the scoring finishing after great interplay between Liam Bush and Harry Gregory who set Byles to rifle home the first. Callum Dowdell struck the second after the home side opened up the defence with Worthing all at sea. But for the away keeper the score would have been more in the first half as he produced great saves to deny Byles, Dan Bassil and Harry Gregory.
With the second half carrying on from the first, next it was Bassil to get on the score sheet firing home after great work from Liam Bush. With Tom Atkinson and Callum Litterick controlling the midfield the away side couldn't get out of their half and only maybe on the odd occasion they did the home defence held firm and kept their clean sheet intact.
Both Bassil and Bush added to the tally and then Bush got his second after a good cross from Ryan Hillier. Atkinson then volleyed home after being set up by Gregory then Gregory became supplier to Joe Bennett to score his first senior goal of the season latching onto a great through ball and slotting home.
Gregory got his reward his display warranted turning and firing home on the volley after a corner wasn't cleared.
A good day at the recreation ground then for the home side who's thoughts now move onto Saturdays away game at Jarvis Brook 2pm KO.
