During the tournament each class was allocated a team to follow and the winning class won a Rugby training session with Slough RFC.
Youth section coaches Laurence and Martin took the winning class through a few of the skills, drills and games that the club uses before finishing with a game of Touch Rugby. Pupils were enthusiastic and keen and seemed to really enjoy the session.
Laurence and Martin also visited other classes to award prizes to the winners of a Rugby poetry competition and donated 5 Rugby balls to the school.
Godolphin Junior Academy said ‘Thank you so much for arranging for your coaches to provide a session today. The children loved it and didn't want to go home.
The coaches were fantastic, so inspiring, professional, and caring.
Thank you also for the fantastic gift of the Rugby balls, it has made our pe teachers day!
Once again thank you so much it was an amazing afternoon’
Leaflets were given to the school to hand out to all pupils and we hope some of them will join us over the next few weeks for a free taster session.
