Slough, determined to make an impact on the second half of the season, opened the scoring almost immediately when the ball was offloaded to Robbie Morrison who charged it over the line within minutes of kick-off. The conversion was unfortunately missed however a forceful attack saw Joe Sole cross the line to score moments later. This time a good boot from Liam Coffey Barratt saw the extras sail between the posts (12-0)

A clean catch from kick-off saw Slough launch another efficient attack taking Ruairi O’Connor over the line to score Slough’s third try. Barratt again kicking the extras.

Slough’s onslaught continued with Morrison selling a fantastic dummy before running straight through Hungerford’s defence. Converted (26-0)

A number of off-sides at the ruck meant that the next few attacks came to nothing whilst an attack down the wing by Morrison and Greenie no.14 looked promising but ended in touch.

Slough next took advantage of a penalty to kick to the corner. The ensuing line-out saw debutant Cameron Ruddock cross the whitewash, successfully converted by Barratt, to close the first half 33-0.

The second half commenced with a Ruddock and Barratt combination adding another 7 points to the scoreboard within minutes.

Next a high tackle saw Slough’s no.14 take advantage of a disorganised Hungerford defence to gain 40m and offload to captain Max Miles to score. Barratt converting.

With 47 unanswered points Slough’s defence began to slacken. Hungerford sensing this took advantage to run in two tries in quick succession, unconverted.

Game ended Slough 47- 10 Hungerford.
