St Austell RFC would like to invite all Life, VP, Cardinal and Player Members from the 2023-24 season to the Annual General Meeting to be held in the Lounge Bar on Wednesday 24 July 2024 at 19:45.

The bar will be open from 19:00 enabling anyone who wishes to renew their membership for the 2024-25 season to do so before the AGM starts.

Nominations for Executive Committee Roles

Whilst there are no vacancies, any qualifying member is entitled to be considered for election to the Executive Committee.

Any nominations for Officer or Executive Committee positions requires an expression of interest from the nominee to be submitted to the Hon. Secretary by Tuesday 9th July 2024 and include the following:

• Confirmation of which role(s) the applicant is seeking election
• A brief summary on why they wish to join the Exec and the any specific objectives they hope to achieve.
• A proposer and seconder who must both be current Life, VP, Cardinal or Player Members of St Austell RFC.
• Both the proposer and the seconder must send separate e-mails of support by the above date.

If new candidates are confirmed by the deadline of Tuesday 9th July 2024 and the current incumbent(s) do not wish to stand down from the Executive Committee, then the membership will be asked to vote on their preferred candidates at the AGM.

If this situation arises then details of the election process will be confirmed during w/c 15 July 2024.

We are constantly seeking volunteers to take a variety of crucial roles on match days and help with maintenance. If this is of interest please contact our Volunteers Lead Al Cummins.

Members’ questions

Any questions for the AGM need to be submitted by members in advance of the close date of Tuesday 9th July 2024 .

There will be an opportunity to ask some questions during “AOB” (Please note it may not be possible to answer highly detailed questions or those of a confidential nature on the night of the AGM).

It would be appreciated if members could register their intention to attend or to pass on apologies in advance online using this On-line Form.
