The St Austell Valkyries are the senior women’s rugby team at St Austell RFC — representing the club with pride, determination and an incredible team spirit.

Based at our home of Tregorrick Park, the Valkyries are a growing and ambitious women’s team, committed to strengthening women’s rugby within the club, developing players and competing at the highest level we can.

We are competing in NC3 SouthWest (WEST) league, building on the foundations laid during our first season at this level. Every match gives us the opportunity to test ourselves, push our limits, learn from every challenge and continue raising the standard of women’s rugby at St Austell RFC.

But being a Valkyrie is about more than what happens on match day.

Teamwork, commitment, respect and togetherness are at the heart of our team. We believe in creating an environment where everyone can learn, grow in confidence, develop their skills and enjoy being part of something special.

As women’s rugby continues to grow at St Austell RFC, our focus is clear: building a strong squad, developing our players and establishing the Valkyries as a proud, competitive and respected part of the club. As well as having a laugh, being there for each other and being a family.

The Valkyries are proud to be part of the wider St Austell RFC family, alongside the mens, colts and youth sections of the club.

And we’re always ready to welcome new players into the squad. You don’t need to have played rugby before. You don’t need to know all the rules. You don’t need to be the fastest, strongest or most experienced person on the pitch.

Come along, meet the team, have a laugh, get stuck in and see what rugby can offer you. You might discover a sport you love, find a team you feel at home with, and make friendships that last far beyond the pitch.

Whether you’re completely new to rugby, returning to the game after time away or looking for your next challenge, there is a place for you here.

Training is on Monday and Thursday evenings 6.30pm - 8pm.
