In 1963 the Association took the lease on nearly 20 acres just outside Little Crosby, part of the Blundell Estate. Two rugby and two football pitches were laid out, and changing facilities built. At that time the rugby club was running four or five regular sides.

St Mary's pitches were only a mile from Hightown RUFC and they provided memorable Boxing Day derby matches until their demise in the mid-1990's. St Mary's now play a Boxing Day fixture against National League Two neighbours Waterloo FC.
