Warkworth Cricket Club

Warkworth cricket club has a vibrant junior section for players from under nine to under thirteen with training on a Friday evening across the season from 6.00 pm to 7.30 pm. During training, the bar is open to parents and guardians to have a drink and relax after a busy week!

All training is run by ECB qualified coaches with numerous volunteers giving up their time for the club. If any parent would like to help with coaching (or become a qualified coach) please let us know.

At present we run a competitive team at under eleven age group playing on a Sunday and we aim to develop under nine and under thirteen teams playing league cricket if there is sufficient demand of parents/coaches to run teams.

Older juniors aged 14-18 are invited to train with senior teams and are given playing opportunities in midweek and second team cricket depending on ability. We also have arrangements with other clubs for older juniors to play age group cricket where appropriate.

The club are lucky enough to have an ECB level three qualified coach in Stephen Boyd who has spent many years working in cricket coaching across the country. Stephen is able to offer bespoke one to one and small group coaching. Please contact sjbtrojantraining@hotmail.com for details and costs.
