'It is a great honour to be captain of Westbury & District Cricket Club 1st XI this season, a club that means so much to me being my home town club and a club that I have played at now for 13 seasons.
Im looking forward too captaining a very talented team this season, who I believe can achieve so much with the potential they all have. We have got some very talented youth players who I hope will push hard for a 1st XI spot.
Our aim as always should be to try and win the West of England Premier League (WEPL) - Wiltshire and gain promotion which I believe is a very realistic achievement in a tough league where anyone can beat anyone.
I hope the club as a whole continues to grow on and off the field with the great club and family atmosphere we have that has grown so much over the last few years. I'm looking forward to seeing the 2nd XI push for promotion from Wiltshire County Cricket League (WCCL) Division 5 to Division 4 as that is important as a club for every team to play as high of a standard as possible and I can't wait to see our youth and ladies teams progress and grow stronger and stronger.'
