This week's Matches:

Wyre v South Shore II (Home - Cottam Hall)
Undefeated, table-topping Wyre face 2nd place South Shore CC II this Saturday on the back of South Shore's first defeat last week, being bowled out for 42 against Norcross and losing by 7 wickets. For South Shore, Muzammil Pardesi is a batsman to look out for, with a high score of 41 this season so far, and Yassir Hussain has been difficult to dismiss, with 2 not outs in 3 innings. A number of their bowlers have taken wickets - Maz Iqbal leading thier averages with a best of 3-17. Wyre look to continue to field a strong XI, to maintain thier unbeaten run and ensure the best possible circumstances in the next round. Kenny Crabtree is in a rich vein of form, averaging 49 with the bat, with a top score of 51, Marcus Webster not far behind with an average of 45.5. Wyre II v Ingol II (Away - Bush Lane)
Wyre II face Ingol II looking to register their first victory of the season, and with skipper Chris Duffield looking to win his first toss of the season! While their batting has failed this season so far, the bowling is starting to settle. Steve Richards tops the stats table with an average of 15.5. Last week's match featured some fantastic fielding by Rob Abbott and 'keeping by Neil Willetts. Ingol have played 4, lost 3, with their only vistory being their win against Wyre II earlier this season. This is the first time we will have Ingol at the former home of Freckleton CC, Bush Lane and Wyre hope to find a good batting pitch following 4 weeks of "indifferent" surfaces!

Lets hope for an improved performance from the Wyre boys!
