1. From Huddersfield, travel to Holmfirth.
2. At the traffic lights in the centre of Holmfirth, turn left.
3. Take the first right (after the parade of shops, at the bottom of the short hill) onto Hollowgate (immediately after crossing the bridge over the river).
4. IMMEDIATELY take the small road on the left up the steep hill past Oscars Café Bar (miserable, grey colour – use to be the bright orange Rotchers); this is Rotcher Road.
5. Carry on up this steep hill; you’ll pass the primary school on your left.
6. Keep going along this road, climbing steadily, out into the country - about a mile.
7. You eventually come to the brow of the hill, the main road drops away in front of you; turn off the main road to the right (Cartworth Bank Lane I think).
8. Carry on along here, past the group of farm buildings on your left, and eventually you come to the 'cricket' wall on your left. Please park up the road immediately before the actual ground (neighbours…)
9. Welcome to Cartworth Moor – at 1080 feet, the second highest cricket ground in the country.
If you’re coming from the Wakefield direction:
If coming down Dunford Road into the middle of Holmfirth. Take the first left and then you’re at Point 4 in the directions.
If from New Mill, when you reach the bus station, it is the second left after that.
