Marine AFC are delighted to announce the contract signing of winger Craig Lindfield.

Craig, 27, arrives at the Marine Travel Arena with plenty of Football League appearances, and also has an Evo-Stik Premier Division Championship medal from FC United of Manchester’s 2014-15 title success.

Greasby born Craig began his career at Liverpool, joining the Academy at the tender age of 8, before going on to win the FA Youth Cup in successive seasons in 2005-06 and 2006-07.
He joined the senior squad in 2006 and was a member of the Anfield club’s 2008 Dallas Cup winning side, returning from the USA as the tournament’s top scorer with six goals.

During his Liverpool career he had loan spells at Notts County, Chester City, Bournemouth and Accrington Stanley and also won England U19 recognition, winning 7 caps and scoring 3 goals.
Since leaving the Reds in 2009 he has had spells at Macclesfield Town and Accrington, making over 100 Football League appearances.

He moved to Conference side Chester in 2013, before joining FC United in June 2014. A further move to Ashton United during 2015-16 saw him help the Robins secure a play off berth.

Manager Sean Hessey has also agreed terms with a further four new signings, details of whom will be announced once League forms are signed following the commencement of pre season training next Tuesday.
