Marine AFC are delighted to announce the contract signing of striker Niall Cummins for the forthcoming season.

Niall, 32, scored four goals in ten full appearances after joining the club last December on loan from National North club Curzon Ashton, before his season ended prematurely following a broken ankle at Hednesford Town.

He becomes manager Neil Young's first summer signing as the Mariners bid for a quick return to the Evo-Stik Premier Division.

Niall said:

“It was an easy decision to return to Marine for the 2019/2020 season.

The management and board have made their intentions clear and promotion is the number target for both them and myself.

I was unlucky to get injured when I did last season as I felt we were in good form as a squad but that is in the past now and I personally don’t want to dwell on last season, but go in to this 125th anniversary season full of optimism and with one objective.

I will also be looking forward to seeing who else arrives over the next few weeks and getting down to business come mid August.”
