Ladies 1st team secure a deserved win.

By Mike Rushmere

Travel to Hull is no barrier.

Ladies 1sts had a 1030 push back at Kingston upon Hull.
Traveling with 13 players we knew it would be hard work but the girls were up for it.
Thirsk were on top from the 1st whistle, missing a few golden chances
We got to half time with a nil nil scoreline.
Thirsk started the 2nd half as they finished the 1st, on top and creating chances.
We got a penalty corner, a new routine followed which was scrambled in by Gina.
Shortly after Thirsk got a 2nd goal from a perfectly executed penalty corner routine (which the coach - Chris Booth - is taking credit for) was deflected in at the far post by Libby Rickard.
The 3rd goal was a great reverse strike from the edge of the D by Minnie Pollock.
So Thirsk took all 3 points to consolidate their position.
The girls kept going, working hard for each other and kept their discipline.
Well done Ladies
Player of the Match was Emily Ramsden
Tart was Olivia Smerds for getting lost.
