Eli and Jamie have secured this opportunity having worked their way up through the Hertfordshire County structure.
In 2013 they started in the B Team and progressed to the A Team. In 2014 they consolidated their position in the A Team and additionally gained selection to the Elites Training Squad. It was during these training sessions that they have been scouted by the Saracens Coaches.
The Saracens EPDG selects up to 30 players not only from Hertfordshire but from across Essex and Kent, so for Camelot to have 2 boys chosen is a tremendous feat. The boys will now have regular weekly training sessions with the Saracens Academy Coaches at Allianz Park and will play fixtures against other EPDGs.
Nick Hoyes, the U15s coach said, "We are all very proud of Eli and Jamie, it’s a fantastic achievement and reward for their hard work. To have three boys (Matt Davies) selected for the County team is amazing, to then have two chosen for the Saracens EPDG is really incredible. Well done boys, keep up the hard work and enjoy the opportunity you have created for yourselves”.
