Marine Football Club sadly announce the passing yesterday of lifelong fan and Club stalwart Bill Horder, aged 79.

Bill had been a resident of The Tithebarn care home, in Moor Lane for a considerable time where he had received excellent care throughout.

The Club expresses its deepest sympathy to his wife Dot, daughters Kath & Carol, son Neil and their families.

Bill was a really great Mariner who will be missed by all and a minute's silence will be held before the home game against Mickleover Sports on Saturday 24th February.

Bill’s funeral will be on Tuesday 27th February at 11.15 am at St. Peter and Paul’s church, Crosby followed by Thornton Crematorium and returning to Marine.
