MARINE TEE OFF FOR ANOTHER GOLF DAY AT WEST LANCASHIRE GOLF CLUB...

Venue chosen for 5th successive year

Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Marine announces the staging of its annual golf day at nearby West Lancashire Golf Club in Blundellsands which is to host the event for the fifth year in succession.

This is the sixteenth annual golf day to be held by Marine and is to take place on Monday 5th September 2016 with enrolment starting just before midday.

The cost per team of four has been held at £395 and includes full evening dinner at which the presentation of prizes will be made to the successful golfers.

The West Lancashire Golf Club was founded in 1873 and is among the ten oldest golf clubs in England, and boasts one of the most natural and testing links in the British Isles that is ranked among the UK's top one hundred courses.

Imaginative and varied in layout, the course has so much more to offer than simply a wonderful experience of classic links with stunning views of the Mersey Estuary and the Welsh Mountains.

The West Lancashire Golf Club has hosted Final Qualifying for The Open Championship when it has been played at Royal Liverpool, Royal Lytham and Royal Birkdale.

The golf day is a key fundraising event for Marine and this year sees 15 teams of four battling it out for the magnificent Marine FC 120th anniversary trophy which will be presented by Club Chairman Paul Leary at the awards dinner in the evening.

The event starts shortly after midday and is followed by the dinner and presentations of prizes.

Any new teams interested in entering the tournament should contact Paul Leary on 07855-275722 or by email on learymarine@aol.com

“Once again I thank the members of West Lancashire Golf Club for making the course and facilities available for use by our football club again.
