Joe Conchie has informed manager Carl Macauley that he is to take time out from the game

This is due to ongoing severe pain after games as a legacy of two serious cruciate operations that he has undergone.

Joe played three matches for the Mariners and scored the winning goal in the most recent, at Droylsden on Tuesday.

He hopes to return to football at a later date when his knees are stronger.
