Welcome to the Camelot Merlin’s webpage.

The Merlin’s squad is aimed at those who may be looking to return to senior rugby, play a more flexi-format of the game, play infrequently, lack the time to train regularly but really miss the social aspect of the sport we all love.

The current squad of almost 50 players consists of a range of ages and experience and the aim for the 2023-24 season is:

• To offer former players a route back into senior men’s rugby
• To provide an introduction to rugby for new players
• To encourage players who wish to transition into the Clubs Senior Squad (1st / 2nd XV)
• To provide a pool of players to support Camelot’s 2nd XV
• To support Camelot’s charitable partners in events and fundraising endeavors
• To support the club in providing volunteers and assistance with events and activities

Format

• Touch Rugby Mondays 7pm to 8:30pm
• Fitness Fiasco Saturdays tbc (off-season or when not playing)
• Training Weekday tbc
• Matches 6-8 friendly flexi-format matches against local sides of similar standard
• End of Season Regional tour / tournament or festival tbc
