Welcome letter from the Club President
Dear All,
Welcome to the inaugural season at Acton Nomads Rugby Club. A new era for Rugby in South Cheshire and hopefully a long history of sportsmanship, fairness and most importantly friendship will be its legacy.
I have no doubt that 2009 will be a fantastic year. A debut season for any rugby club is a challenge but I have no reservations that it will be a resounding success because members characteristics are underpinned by hard work, commitment and dedication to the clubs development. I am sure that these traits will ensure that the forthcoming season will be a rewarding one.
We look forward to renewing and gaining friendships both on and off the field. The vision for the club is to provide a hub for quality rugby to be played coupled with a people-oriented approach embracing players, families and friends.
Players are the heart and soul of any club, and it is my my belief that rugby is the players' affair, pure and simple. Those who don the Acton jersey and scramble in the mud count first, last and all the time. It is this philosophy that will help build our club.
Theres nothing like leadership quotes to get you motivated and moving, striving to be the best that you can be aiming for success is paramount. The words Sir Winston Churchill used regarding success can not be underestimated-"Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm" and it is these words that will resonate throughout the club. Our club motto "nil sine labore" (nothing without effort) echoes the words of Churchill and it is these words that I firmly believe will make this club and team a success.
Best Wishes
Dean Postlethwaite
