Welcome letter from the Chairman

Welcome to Acton Nomads RFC.

Acton Nomads RFC are all voluntary members, from the President of the club down to the newest player, and our philosophy is one of Rugby for enjoyment - that doesn't mean we are not serious about playing hard and winning, but it is our belief that if it's not fun it's not working.

As the newest club in the North West, possibly throughout the entire UK, our success depends upon not just a few select people but each and every one of us, and our motto "Nothing Without Effort" underlines the core values of our club.

The thing that makes a rugby club special is its players and its people, and Nomads are friendly creatures!! We are a family club and actively promote support from family and friends.

No matter if you have been a Nomad for a day, a week or forever, you your family and your friends will be welcomed and treated with respect from the moment you join.

Over the next few months there will be opportunities to learn more about the club, where it comes from and more importantly where it's going. There will be social events leading up to, and during our first season. Please support these events, even if only for a drop-in visit. It makes all the effort worthwhile and I am sure you will enjoy yourself.

Without doubt some of you may have questions. I hope that most will be answered via the Nomad News text messages and our new website. If you don't find your answer from these, please feel free to contact a member of the Committee and they will be more than happy to help.

Look forward to seeing you,

Jed Thurlow
Chairman
