Team info

1st XV

Berkshire Unicorns 1st XV are the foundation of the club and compete in the IGR UK Southern League against other Inclusive teams.

Our team welcomes new players of all ages and abilities, from seasoned players to those who have never picked up a rugby ball, offering a sporting home and family for all LGBT+ persons.
Your first four training sessions are free, after which we hope that membership of the Unicorn family will be desired. We have regular fixtures throughout the season as well as tournaments and tours around the country and indeed across the world. The 1st XV play in a contact league, so there is an element of physicality involved both in games and training and we cover the full suite of Rugby Union aspects such as scrums, rucks, line outs and kicking.

Following our successful Hadrian's Cup campaign in 2019, the team will be aiming to finish in the top half of the table and welcome the opportunity to play against our friends and brothers in the UK IGR Southern League.

Anybody interested in competing at competitive contact rugby and who want to #bepartoftheunreal are encouraged to join us for training at Braywick Park, Maidenhead RFC on a Tuesday.
