CLOUD NINE!! (Match Report)

Billy Allinson13 Feb 2019 - 18:43

BEDS SENIOR CUP SEMI-FINAL BIGGLESWADE TOWN 9 v LUTON TOWN 1 By Mike Draxler

More a comment than a report. All those goals, be here all day. Excitement has been tops with Luton coming to town albeit their Academy improvement side.
For Luton the game started well, their youth, vitality, slick passing and quick movement had us all in the stands concerned. Early chances fell to the boys in orange. The loudest voice on the pitch way above the others Lee Allinson, barking orders and instantly the game plan changed. A much higher line pushing Luton back and out of their disciplines. A continual stream of goals over the next 80 minutes once the first had gone in, the only reply from Luton on 22 minutes to make it 1-1. But then the Waders cut loose.

Biggleswade looked and performed like they wanted this match. So well deserved, play like that every game and become world beaters. Strange but my pick of the bunch Ben Walster, who as a make shift centre back controlled the back line, his tackling immaculate.

Roll of Honour

Joe White 2
Peter Clark 2
Bradley Bell 2
Solomon Nwaboukei I
Lucas Perry 1
Dylan Williams 1

The pick of the goals, no disrespect to the other scorers, Williams and Bell stunning shots from distance.
So to Kenilworth Road in March for the final showdown with Barton Rovers.
