There are two different versions of the origins of the badger and I’ll leave you to decide which one you’d like to believe.

Version 1 – Whilst returning from a game in the Lampeter area, the team buss knocked down a badger. Badly injured the badger was wrapped up and put on the bus. Two of the players took the badger back to Blaenau and nursed it back to health, finally releasing it in the woods near the old Plas.
