Now, considering that our 1st Team finished third from the bottom of their league, that might seem to be an exaggeration, but the overall progress of the whole club has been so positive that I have no hesitation in using that word.

The season began with the opening of the new changing rooms and we have been delighted with the response to them, both from our own players and from the many visitors who have used them.

The 1st Team achieved their objective of consolidating their position in this tough league, the 2nd Team won their league and achieved promotion, the 3rd Team are up and running again after a lapse of many years, and the forthcoming tour to Italy will be the icing on the cake. The younger sections meanwhile are all thriving, as was evident in the end-of-season festivals, tournaments and awards evenings. Thanks to the huge amount of hard work from all of our volunteers, and despite the wettest winter on record, we have ended the season with huge numbers of youngsters and parents utilising the facilities and helping us to enjoy record bar profits.
