Question, what have a picture of a tattooed bottom and American flag got in common.
Answer – they are both memories from previous rugby tours that the senior club has undertaken
Why, I can hear you ask do I mention this, well simply we now have a chance to create more memories.
Next May it is planned to go on tour to Antwerp in Belgium. The problem is that only 24 people have expressed an interest to go and of them only 15 have paid the £30 deposit.
Now I know that people have been keen (if not desperate) to go on tour. So why the poor take up?
Is it due to people thinking that Belgium is boring? – Ask anyone who went to the Flounders 10 tournament and I think they would inform you it was certainly not boring (and we won the plate competition – thanks in the main to Lee Balchin!).
Is it because it is too expensive – well even if we crash out of Brexit it is still only going to cost you £200 if 35 people sign up and for that I can promise you laughter, hangovers, fines and rugby – I think you will agree this will not break the bank.
Or is it because you are all boring and lazy and now don’t want to have any fun anymore – I really do not believe this as I have witnessed too many fun times at the club.
So don’t be a twerp and come to Antwerp (copyright pending!)
Please let’s have a positive response and finish our 55th season off with a brilliant tour to Antwerp.
