Hemel get Monkey of Back

Hemel Hempstead Camelot 1st team continued their winning ways by beating old foes Hammersmith and Fulham for the first time in the 7 occasions they have met.
Hemel opened the scoring having soaked up the visitors early pressure with strong defence.
The Hemel backs intercepted a pass which saw wing Adonis Marmaras run the best part of the length of the pitch to score in the corner.
Hammersmith & Fulham's heavier pack were causing Hemel a few problems in the set piece. They put their weight advantage to good use by driving up the sides of the rucks, pushing the home side further and further back until they crossed the Hemel line.
The scores now stood at five a piece with half time approaching when Hemel stand off Richard Woodard made a superb looping run and break which got behind the visitors defence, where he put Centre Ross Willoughby into space to charge over under the posts and take the lead to 12-5 at half time.
Hemel started the second half as they finished the first and within a minute of the re-start Wing Carl Buckingham followed a lovely kick through to touch down and extend the lead to 17-5.
Hemel have racked up 7 bonus points so far this year and went in hunt of another which was supplied by Woodard, who had sufficient strength to fend of a couple of tacklers before crossing the line and make the conversion for good measure, to take the score to 24-5.
Hemel took their foot off the gas at this stage and allowed Hammersmith and Fulham to get a foot hold in the game which they took advantage of and scored.
This brought the score back to 24-12 with 15 minutes to play.
The supporters grew a little nervous, fearing a come back from the visitors, but their concerns were arrested when back row George Adams, who had another outstanding game, crossed the line to touch down and with the conversion put Hemel out of sight 31-12.
Hemel Move up to Third in the league and travel away to London Nigerian this Saturday.

This was a very good weekend for Hemel Rugby Union with 3 wins out of 3 matches.
Camelot’s 2nd team continued their unbeaten record this season winning 12-7 away in a very tough game at Old Albanians.
This was a very competitive match with the Hemel side claiming a deserved Victory.
Camelot’s 3rd team had a very comfortable win 33-3 also away at Old Albanians.
Both 2nd & 3rd teams play at home this weekend with the 4ths away.
