Canton welcomed les Super Frelons RFC to Jubilee Park on the morning of the Wales v France match.
The game was played in Siberian like conditions with a freezing cold wind but the standard of rugby played was of the highest order.
Both sets of players engaged in flowing rugby and the Bretons showed some neat handling moves. The French rugby legend, Laurent Lefalmand put in a cameo performance for the home side which was greatly appreciated. The Bourgoin right wing played 8 times for his country and scored 2 tries against Wales at Parc de Princes in 1997 in an 27-22 win. "Lefalmand douses the Dragons fire"
The match developed into quite a physical tussle but was a very entertaining affair, with Canton just shading the final score by 55pts to 45 pts. Sacre bleu!
