Club launches pathway to adult rugby for young players

Neil MacDonald8 Dec - 12:02

Colts, U17 and U16 players heard about our setup to support young players moving to adult rugby.

We held a meeting for.our older youth players to introduce the club's plan to support their transition to senior rugby once they reach 18 and even 17 years old.

With 4 of our Colts having already played for Harrow senior sides this season, the club is introducing a structured programme to allow experience to be gained in a safe and supportive way.

Around 50 players and some parents were present and heard from Junior Chair Neil MacDonald, Colts Head Coach Paul Watts, Seniir Head Coach John Porter-Griffiths and 1stXV Captain Will Beech.

A copy of the plan is attached and we hope this becomes a significant initiative to help our young players continue to develop their rugby at the club.
