We rounded off our season for Harrow U17 & Colts rugby in fitting style with an exciting match, a good win, a great BBQ and our Players Awards ceremony.

Whilst it hasn’t been the easiest of seasons the spirit of the players and the teams shone through in the end and they showed what a great bunch they are in putting on a terrific match and displaying boundless enthusiasm for the sport, their club and their team.

The win against Fullerians was the perfect opener to the day and you can read the match report here. After a fine feed from George’s magic BBQ we settled down to celebrate the season and applaud some outstanding individual contributions fittingly recognised in the awards presented.

Congratulations to all the winners and to all the players!

Our thoughts also went out to all on the injured list and we hope you all get back to playing as soon as possible.

A huge vote of thanks went out to all those who had given their time and effort in support of the teams and the club during the season. It’s how a club like ours functions and you all did a great job – thank you!

Turning our thoughts to next season, we have a number of plans to make it another great experience for the players and teams. Highlights of these are:

-A short Tour to Belgium in October for U17-U19 players. Full details will be sent out very soon and we need early commitment to make this viable, so sign up for it!
-We will be running 2 Colts teams in competitions and friendlies so there will plenty of rugby as well training and development for players of all abilities in U17 and U18 age groups.
-Continuing sponsorship form our brilliant sponsors BCP Interiors.
-Some U20 matches scheduled for the holiday periods so we can get mates playing together at Harrow again even if some are away at Uni.
-The chance for any U18+ player to play in a Harrow Senior club side as a number have done this season.

To make this work we are committing to putting this in place so we need people to make a commitment to continue playing for what is a great club and more importantly, a terrific team of lads!
