It is with great sadness that I have to inform you of the death of a Club Vice President and former Club Secretary John Walter who died last Saturday 25th February 2012.

I enclose a copy of the e-mail that I received this afternoon from his daughter Val which includes details of the funeral arrangements. I last spoke to John last week after he had written to congratulate the Club. He seemed in good spirits ad was talking about coming up for the next VP lunch. The thoughts of us all go out to his family at this desperate time.
I have spoken to Val and sent the condolences of the Club to her and her family. She said that she would be pleased to hear from anybody who knew her father

The Club will honour his memory together with that of Dai Curtis and Ron Swain with a minutes silence before the 1stxv home match against Old Isleworthians on Saturday

I am writing to inform you of the death of my father, John Walter, who sadly passed away on Saturday 25 February 2012.

Dad had had many years of involvement with Harrow Rugby Football Club, and indeed was Hon. Secretary from 1963-1968. I remember very well spending a great deal of Saturday afternoons watching Dad play when I was a child.

Dad moved up to Colwyn Bay in North Wales some 20 years ago and would not have visited the club a great many times since then, but I would be grateful if you could pass the word around on my behalf to anyone who remembers him.
