Harrow RFC U11s — Year 6 Rugby: Skills, Smarts, Team Spirit

Moving up from U10s or brand new to the game? Either way, U11s is a great fit for School Year 6 players. We build confident, safe contact skills and add more game understanding — all while keeping it friendly, supportive and fun.
Harrow U11s combine with Pinner RFC U11s to make an effective team for all. We train at Harrow and also Pinner and play together as a team against local clubs.

The step up at U11

• Sharper contact skills — safe tackling, ball presentation, support at the breakdown
• Game awareness — finding space, passing under pressure, working as a unit
• Match days — regular fixtures and festivals against local clubs, played in the right spirit
• Inclusive coaching — we tailor activities to confidence and experience; we welcome children with SEND and work with families case by case
• Personal Development - our coaches will use the above elements to help every player develop their skills and work on any challenges to be the best player and person they can be.

Safety basics (non-negotiable)

1. Mouthguards are compulsory for all contact sessions and matches
2. Studded boots for grip; correct body positions and safe landings coached every week
3. Progression is steady and supervised — we slow down, practise and build back if anyone needs time

New to rugby?

Perfect. We’ll teach the fundamentals clearly and get you involved right away. Try two free taster sessions — no commitment.

Bring along

Mouthguard, boots with studs, weather-sensible kit, and a water bottle. We provide balls, pads and plenty of encouragement.

Parents and carers are welcome in the clubhouse (café/kitchen open). If you fancy helping on match days, with team admin or learning to coach, just ask — community is what makes Harrow RFC tick.
