Welcome to Harrow RFC U8s (Year 3) - New Players Welcome!

Harrow RFC U8s — Confidence, Teamwork, Loads of Fun

Whether your child is brand new or stepping up from U7s, they’ll get a warm welcome at Harrow U8s. We play Tag Rugby (still non-contact at this age) and keep the focus on movement, skills and smiles. Please note, a player must be in Year 3 to join this team.

When we train: Sunday mornings, 10:00–11:15
Where: Harrow RFC — head to the U8s pitch and say hello

What families can expect

  • Safe, non-contact rugby suited to this age group

  • Fun, game-based sessions that build agility, balance, coordination and confidence

  • Teamwork and inclusion — everyone gets a turn, everyone improves

  • Beginner-friendly coaching — we teach the basics clearly and positively

  • Inclusive approach — we welcome children with SEND and work with families case-by-case to make sure it’s right and safe

  • Great setup — committed, qualified volunteer coaches (and fellow parents) who take time to get to know every player and family

While the kids play, parents and carers are welcome in the clubhouse (café/kitchen open). Harrow RFC is a community club and there’s always room to get involved — from lending a hand in the kitchen to helping manage the team or learning to coach.

Try before you join

Come for two free taster sessions — no pressure, no payment up front. If your child enjoys it (they usually do), we’ll explain how joining works.

What to bring

Trainers or boots (mud happens!), comfy sports kit you don’t mind getting wet or muddy, and a water bottle. That’s it.

Ready to give it a go? Drop in any Sunday or contact our Coach John on - jderbyshire1982@hotmail.com. We can’t wait to meet you.
