Mini & Juniors Rugby 1 of 14

1. About Mini and Junior Rugby

We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to the Leamington family. We're a friendly bunch at Leamington and players and parents alike make new friends, learn new skills and have a lot of fun. Our ethos at Leamington is about learning to play rugby in a structured, supportive environment that encourages team building and friendship alongside the skills required to play and enjoy rugby.

We have teams for kids from reception right through to Year 11. Younger children start by playing tag rugby then move to very limited contact, building on this as they progress until they are playing full rugby games. Children are welcome to join at any age and with any level of experience. It's never too early or too late to start!

And when they fall in love with the club and the game, we have adult teams so they can continue playing.

We take care of the parents too! When we're playing or training at home, you'll be able to grab a hot drink and bacon roll to keep you warm. And when they've finished, the bar is open and a great range of hot food is available to buy.

Rugby is not just about learning to play at this age so we have a number of events and activities to support their development, mark those important occasions and of course have fun! These include our legendary bonfire & firework display, a mini's Christmas party, mini's and junior's tours, mini's festival and end of season award event. And we support, in fact encourage, those all important team parent get togethers that may or may not be arranged at a local pub!

Seasons

The rugby season generally runs from the start of school in September through to the end of April. We train at home and play games both at home and away.
