Members of the Newport News Rugby Club spent the day of Nov. 16, 2013, helping with the move of the Friends of the Newport News Library from the West Avenue Library building in downtown Newport News to the lower level of the Virgil I. Grissom Library in the Denbigh area of Newport News.

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Members of the Newport News Rugby Club donated their time and effort to help the Friends of the Newport News Library on Nov. 16, 2013.

Seven members of the club plus two family members spent the day packing materials and moving furniture at the West Avenue Library building in downtown Newport News. The Friends of the Newport News Library, a nonprofit organization that supports the Newport News Public Library System, is moving from the downtown location to the lower level of the Virgil I. Grissom Library in the Denbigh area of Newport News.Members of the Rugby Club who participated were Brendon “Scientist” Malovrh, Ken Durbin, Steven Convery, David Delozier with his two sons, Brandon Poje, Brian Whitehead and Jimmy Fay.

The Newport News Rugby Club is part of the Peninsula Rugby Foundation, a nonprofit organization.
