A long-term player of the club, Ian Coombes has featured as a dashing winger in the 2nd’s and 3rd’s over many, many seasons and was awarded the Unsung Hero Award at the 2015/16 Club Dinner & Awards. In more recent years, Ian has devoted himself to helping the senior coaches and is doing a magnificent job managing our current 2nd XV squad on a Saturday afternoon, as well as coaching in the Youth Section on a Saturday morning. Affectionately known as ‘sweep’ Ian is a true one Club man and a much-loved member of the Oldfield Family.

As a Vice President Ian will all be entered into the draws for FREE International tickets (games will be announced in due course) receive a Membership Club Card for the 2017/18 season, which offers discounted bar prices in the Clubhouse; appear on the Oldfield Website VP’s/Sponsors page and will also be invited to our annual President’s Day, which is hosted by Oldfield President Mark Butt and his wife Laraine and will take place on 10th March 2018, when Oldfield’s 1st XV entertain Chosen Hill.
