At just 59 years of age, Richard had shown remarkable courage and determination in his battle against cancer over the past few years, supported every step of the way by the unwavering love of his wife, Nicola and his family.

Richard was a loyal and trusted friend, a devoted husband and father and a proud member of the Oldfield Old Boys family. His warmth, kindness, humour and friendship touched the lives of so many and his loss will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Our thoughts, love, prayers and heartfelt condolences are with Nic, his beloved children Theo, Olivia and Jemima, his mother Janet and his siblings Liz and Rob, as well as his many friends and extended family during this incredibly difficult time.

Though Richard may no longer be with us, the memories he created, the friendships he cherished and the impact he made on those around him will never be forgotten.

Rest peacefully, Richard. You will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
