The teams compete in the East and London Tier 1 and Tier 2 Area Leagues and in the England Hockey National Tier 1 and Tier 2 Cup competitions. Old Loughts boys and girls sides have been successful as National Champions on a number of occasions recently both in the indoor and outdoor competitions.

Youths regularly play for Essex at all age groups and a pleasing number of our youths compete in the Futures Cup each year and represent England at age group level. Youths are also eligible to play for the Men's and Women’s teams.

The Club was selected as one of the first group of clubs across the country to apply for Talent Centre accreditation and is one of the few club's in the country which runs an England Hockey Talent Academy.
