Redmarley FC catches up with new first team manager Nick Vaughan, following his first season at the helm.

Q: Since your first game in charge, how do you think the season has gone?
A: The season has gone better than I could of imagined with a strong effort from all and a good run of results.

Q: Is there anything you wished you'd prepared for differently?
A: I wish that I had got everyone together when Nick and I took over, sat down and discussed the way forward as a team.

Q: Are you pleased with where the team has finished in the league?
A: I would have bitten your arm off if you had offered me that finishing position when we took over, fantastic effort from everyone!

Q: What has been the low point of your season?
A: Losing 4-0 to Lydney Town A.

Q: What has been the high point of your season?
A: Beating Newent Town at there ground last game of the season, and lots of goal scoring hugs from my buddy Nick.

Q: What are you aiming for next season?
A: To build a team that is confident enough to take on any team, any where.

Q: How are you going to spend the close season?
A: I would like to spend it organising team building events and of course fitness training.

Q: Obviously this is the first season we have had the development squad, are there any players in particular that you feel are ready to step up to the Saturday squad, and why?
A: Jon Greenough, Keiren Davies, Lee Eyre and Mark Taylor have already made appearances for the first team, I would like to give as many DS players an opportunity to play for the first team. As I believe a first team shirt should be earned and not expected.

Q: What has been your main personal motivation this season?
A: For a long time I have been looking for a hobby, I have tried the usual; golf, cycling, running and the gym. But with football it's different as well as the fitness there is the excitement and the comradeship and most of all being a member of a fantastic club, and friends.

Q: What are you looking forward to most about next season?
A: Getting started!!! (Bring on the goal and the hugs Nick Blewitt!)
